STABLE SET UP
1. For a full stable, spread 10-15 bags of Verdo Horse Bedding into a 12' x 12' stable (if you are on concrete or desire banks you may want to add a few additional bags.)
2. Sprinkle water evenly over the pellets - approx. 7 litres per bag - wait 15 mins and mix with a fork.
3. After 30 minutes or so you should have a pleasant soft but dense bed for your horse. There should be some pellets which have not broken down.
MAINTAINING BEDDING
1. Remove manure and saturated patches daily.
2. Replenish with extra bags (approx. 1-2 bags per week) and distribute evenly thoughout the bed, no more water is required after the initial setup.
3. You will probably want to strip each stall every 2-3 months.
OTHER ANIMALS
Horse bedding will supply the same benefits to other animals, including; poultry, cattle, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils and it makes a great cat litter as well!!
